| Quilt As You Go Table Ribbon
What in the world is a table ribbon, you ask?
It's a colorful and interesting addition to dining table decor. It's an accoutrement that originated in Switzerland where the decorative additions were created primarily in lace.
Our Quilt as You Go Table Ribbon is an adaptation of the Swiss concept based on the quilter's art transferred to this easy-to-do pattern by Jan Krueger.
The ribbon is five inches wide and can be made to any length. It can be placed on top of your tablecloth or it can be used alone as a highlight if you prefer to let your tabletop shine through.
After you've made one, you may decide to make others to match the seasons, salute the holidays, or as personalized gifts. You might even consider creating one for your mantel.
Now to give credit where credit is due, the squared braid piecing - which also makes a great border for a quilt, comes from Anne Gallo ans Susan Raban of Yankee Quilts, Nashua, NH. For more braids with "attitude" contact Yankee Quilts, at www.yankeequilts.com
