Fabric you'll need for each project included in this kitchen decor series.

Placemats - 1 yard of fabric equals six placemats - backing for one side. Use fat quarters to cut 2 1/2 inch strips for both the placemats and pot holders patchwork.

Napkins - 1/2 yard fabric equals two.

Pot holder - Use scraps

Oven Mitt - 1/2 yard fabric equals two sides of two mitts.

Tea cozy - You will need 3/8 yard for outside and 3/8 yard for linning

Napkin Basket - Small and large, 1/3 yard each of two fabrics.

Also recommended for these projects

Use Spray Baste (505) to hold layers together while sewing. (Spray on batting side)

Use even-feed foot for all projects in which you use batting, including "Quilt as you Go" projects.

Use bias binding on all curved edges.

Oven mitts and pot holders should have three layers of cotton batting or two cotton with insul-bright or silver stuff for heat resistance.

Use size 14 sewing machine needles for sewing through thick layers.
