A concept she talks about over and over is - When you're tired and can't think - just make little 4-patches, cutting 1 1/4-inch strips and putting a light with a dark. Then, Always keep batches of 4-patches in baggies so, when you feel creative, you're ready to go. "Charlie" is the result of a such a batch of 4-patches.
